Strength in crisis.
Hope through support.

Crisis Intervention and Trauma Support NW London (C.I.T.S.) — formerly known as NW Crisis Support — was established in 2025 to support individuals, families and the broader Jewish community through traumatic events.

We focus on empowering those affected, providing timely interventions and age-appropriate advice, information and guidance for both adults and children. Our work includes sensitive support around notification of deaths and psycho-education to help communities heal.

Our mission is the preservation and protection of good mental health and the relief of need — particularly for those experiencing or at risk of poor mental health as a result of crisis or trauma.

How we help
We offer a range of support services to individuals, families and organisations navigating crisis and trauma.

Crisis Intervention

Immediate, compassionate response and intervention during traumatic events, providing stability when it's needed most.

Family & Individual Support

Age-appropriate advice, information and guidance for adults and children, tailored to each family's unique circumstances.

Psycho-Education

Educational programmes to help individuals and communities understand trauma, recognise early warning signs and build resilience.

Death Notification Support

Sensitive, culturally informed assistance with the notification of deaths and supporting those affected through the immediate aftermath.

Awareness & Advocacy

Raising public awareness about issues affecting those in crisis, and advocating for better understanding of mental health in the community.

Clinician & Volunteer Training

Providing education to clinicians and trained volunteers to enable them to deliver greater support and care within the community.

Confidential by design

Due to the deeply sensitive nature of our work — supporting individuals and families through crisis, bereavement, addiction and mental health challenges — we do not maintain a social media presence. This is a deliberate decision that reflects the trust placed in us by those we serve, and the cultural values of the Orthodox Jewish community we support. Every interaction with us is handled with the utmost discretion.
